Guillermo Matamoros

Hi! I'm a research-oriented economist interested in understanding real-world economic issues. I hold a PhD in economics from the University of Ottawa. In recent years, I've worked mostly on empirical research on macroeconomics and economic policy, particularly, on the relationship between monetary policy, inflation, and income distribution. Moreover, throughout my career, involving valuable experience in multiple countries, I've acquired extensive research expertise on different fields, such as development economics, income inequality, international trade, industrial policy, among others. My core skills include data analysis, policy evaluation, empirical econometrics, and a solid theoretical and practical understanding of economic phenomena. I am currently exploring career opportunities in the academic, government, non-profit, and industry sectors, that will allow me to apply my skills and expertise to complex economic problems and challenges.
